When should I scan the eSIM QR code?

Before traveling abroad. I purchased a QR code, but when should I scan it with my smartphone?
I think many people are worried about this!

  • How long does the QR code last?
  • When is the right time to read it?
  • When will communication be enabled?

This article will answer those questions.

How long does the QR code last?

The Good eSIM QR code is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase .
Please install it on your smartphone before 30 days have passed.

When is the right time to read it?

Right before the trip.
To read the eSIM, you will need an internet connection such as Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Please install the QR code on your smartphone while connected to the internet.
We recommend setting it with some leeway.

*Only for GoodeSIM. Activation conditions for other companies' eSIMs may differ.

When will communication be enabled?

It's fine to install it well in advance, but it would be a problem if your data plan expired and you couldn't use it when you got there.
Don't worry.
With GoodeSIM, the expiration date begins once you install the eSIM and begin using it at your destination.
If you are using a 3-day plan, your data will be valid for 3 days from the start of your data usage .
*If you use up all your data during the period, you will be limited to low-speed data communication (depending on the product, low-speed data communication may not be available).

*To start communication using the added eSIM, you will need to turn on mobile communication for the added eSIM in your smartphone's settings.
